The Hydra agents guarding the special cell block have different uniforms; they’re fancier, darker green, with gold badges on their shoulders and an emblem over the left breast. You notice this because the emblem makes a perfect target for putting arrows through people’s chests, which is not exactly sporting conduct, but then again, neither is taking Natasha.
You’re surprised, though, by Sitwell and Hill. No - make that astonished, because Agent Hill takes out the nearest two guards with one fluid spin kick and then three more with some move you can’t even name and then she’s around the corner of the building and you can’t see her, and Sitwell, he’s gone to the other side and you can’t see him either, but there’s neat gunfire (one shot and then the next and then the next, no spray-and-pray for him), and, well, damn, Hill and Sitwell are kind of badasses. You’re impressed.
When they finally re-emerge, Sitwell uses one of Coulson’s favourite tricks, explosive door breaching, and the heavy steel cell block door swings open.
There’s silence. Seems like Hydra figured guarding the outside of the cell block would be enough. They’ve never been too bright.
