It’s a free-for-all in the corridors, and when Steve finds out about it from the first few prisoners who trickle out, he insists on heading straight in to assist. Neither you nor Tony has a problem with that (you haven’t been undercover since Tony decided to blow a giant hole in the side of the building), and you both reckon you could probably use the help.
The biggest issue is that the people in the cells (who’ve been held prisoner by Hydra for who knows how long, and who are now free but have no idea why) seem to be in a rioting mood; instead of just running, they’re beating up guards, smashing security cameras, and then running. You don’t have control of the situation - or at least, you don’t until one of the prisoners smashes a chunk of metal down on Steve’s head, and then Tony grabs him as he crumples and you shout, ”Okay, enough!” louder than you think you have ever been before.
It works, a little. Enough of them listen to you that you can marshal them together, get them at least vaguely organized, and start getting them out of there while Tony helps a slightly-stunned Captain America follow behind.
