You automatically signal to Natasha; she’s completely human, after all, and the two of you have worked together so often by now that you’re the smoothest partnership S.H.I.E.L.D. has. You grab Thor, too, because you’re thinking ahead and you’re pretty sure that, despite the way you’re starting out, this isn’t going to be a stealth mission for long.

It isn’t. Somehow, the cell block guards manage not to notice the three of you approaching, despite Thor’s liberal use of Mjölnir to take out the few Hydra agents who try to engage you while you’re inward-bound. (“I could have just shot them,” you say. “It would have been quieter.” Thor looks at you confused, as if he has no idea why you’d ever want to be quieter.)

He comes in handy when you get there, though, because you realize that even if you and Natasha went in undercover, you’d have no way of unlocking the cell blocks. Tony could give you instructions over the comms, if you made it to the control room, and you’re kind of starting to formulate a plan when Thor takes matters into his own hands and smashes open the cell blocks from the outside, using the hammer.

            Always with the hammer, jeez.
