You and Natasha have been partners for years; if she needs help now, you’re the one who’s going to make sure she gets it. “Get these guys out of here!” you yell to Thor, waving an arm at the ex-prisoners still on the ground, and then you take off at a run toward the battle where you know Steve and Sitwell will be.

You can’t deny, though, that as you run (and shoot, and occasionally punch or kick), you keep glancing over your shoulder. Bruce is still on the ground, weary and vulnerable in his post-Hulk state, and though you’re pretty sure Thor can defend him, you still hate leaving and not being able to keep an eye on what’s going on.
