“They got it,” Phil murmurs after a while, and it takes you a second to pull that out of the context of your conversation and realize he means the release of the controls. Steve and Natasha show up on the ground a little later, emerging from the tower doorway looking a little banged up but not much worse for wear. They wave to you, and you watch them head off toward the extraction point on foot.

You’re still looking for Tony when he shows up hovering behind you, waving with one repulsor-armed hand. (Truth be told, that makes you kind of nervous. Don’t point that thing at me, you want to say, but you don’t.)

He gestures to you to come and join him, so that he can fly you out of there the same way he usually flies Steve around on assignments. That’s kind of cool, actually, so you try not to look too eager as he grabs you with one arm and takes off rapidly in the direction of the extraction point.
